This division of Iran Air with approximately 2500 technical personnel, mostly engineers and licensed mechanics, is responsible for all aspects of planning, engineering, maintenance, repairs, modifications, quality control and airworthiness of the airline's aircraft and their components. This division is also responsible for the airline’s communication network and motor pool repair shops.  Engineering & Maintenance is involved with numerous technical expertise and complexities
